Location

Northern Lights Ranch is located 190 km North of Rovaniemi and the Arctic Circle. The closest airport is Kittilä (KTT) 30 km and a 30-minute drive away from us. Additionally, only a 15-minute drive away from Northern Lights Ranch is Levi – a year-round activity resort and the biggest ski resort in the Nordic countries.

Levi is at the same time a small holiday town, which offers a wide range of activities, shops, restaurants, and various other services and experiences to the visitors. During the winter season (Dec-Mar) we offer our guests a complimentary shuttle service to Levi in the morning and return to Northern Lights Ranch in the afternoon.

When the sky is clear of clouds and the solar activity is favourable for seeing the Northern Lights, then light pollution is left as the biggest cause of not seeing them in Lapland. The orange, yellow and light grey colours demonstrate the amount of light pollution caused by the built infrastructure such as street lights, lights from the ski pistes and housing. Northern Lights Ranch is located at the closest possible place to Levi without any light pollution and thus enabling the best chance to seeing the Northern Lights.
